So far, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time has only been announced for Playstation 4 and Xbox One, and the developers haven’t said anything about the next-generation releases. But that doesn’t mean they won’t be there, quite the opposite, as the ESRB (the American counterpart of PEGI) has now rated the game for Xbox Series X.
Whether this clue really indicates anything remains to be seen. But why didn’t Activision announce it, as others have done? A reasonable guess is that this is not a free update, something Activision has been very reluctant for. As such, they probably want to sell as many Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time as possible for Playstation 4 and Xbox One and then resell it in updated versions for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X.
